Life is a world of challenges

We do encounter lots of difficulties and trials in life.  It makes life more challenging. Though it makes it wants to give up especially when the trials are too heavy for us to take.  We sometimes asking why it happens to us?  But we must know that those difficulties won’t be given to us if we cannot handle it well.  Burdens makes us wiser and stronger.  We just must believe in ourselves that we will get back and surpass whatever trials and difficulties we are facing. And most importantly, we should keep the faith, continue praying and call God’s guidance always.

My brother is facing another trial now.  His second daughter was admitted in the hospital last Monday.  I feel his pain and feel so sorry for him.  He even said that he is the unluckiest person on earth.  It is not good to say it, but I understand that he said it out of desperation and frustration.  I know that my brother is a strong person.  He can handle whatever trials comes in his way.  But just recently, he just felt it is too much.  As a family, we extend our arms for him.  Give him comfort and encouraging words for him to not lost faith and believe in God.  Everything happens for a reason.  Maybe it is God’s way of testing him on how long the brother will be able to handle it and his faith to Him.  To my brother, do not give up and continue moving on.  We are here for you.  And will help you as much and we could.

Looking for a house near the city

My older brother and his family are living with us for more than a decade.  Their kids have grown up with us and I am glad that they are living with us because the house would be so lonely if only my father and me in the house.   My father always told me that it is best for my brother to live their own so that they will have freedom to do what they want and for them to buy their own stuff.  My father has a point, however, it would be so lonely without kids running around.  I’d rather choose a messy house than the lonely house.

Two days ago, the brother told the sister that they are looking for a house.  They are thinking of moving out because the house is too far from the school.  They prefer to get a house near the city and the school so they do not have to ride in public vehicles.  It short, they can save money living near the city.  The brother is still looking for a house though but thinking about it makes me so sad knowing that they will be moving out anytime time.  The kids do not like the idea but they have to choice.  To be honest, I am hoping that the brother will not get a house so they will stay and not move out.

The wedding preparation

As part of the Filipino tradition when a man wishes to marry his girlfriend, the first thing he should do is to visit the family of the girl and ask permission from the parents of the girl.  And that is what we are going to do this Sunday because my brother wants to settle down and marry his girlfriend.  They have been in a relationship for three years and living under one roof for two years now.  We are so glad that finally, they decided to tie the knot.  The girl, my soon to be sister-in-law is two months pregnant.  It is a blessing because they are waiting for this moment before decided to get married.

This Sunday also we will plan for the wedding and prepare what is need to be done for their big day.  This moment happens one in their life, so as much as possible we want to make it extra special and memorable.  Though we are not into an extravagant wedding, just a simple one that fits the bride and groom.  I also extend my help to my brother, I am not a wedding planner and don’t know much but I can search online to get an idea.    I am so excited for them.  Congratulations in advance to my brother and future sister-in-law.

Flu Shots Vaccination

It is exactly five years ago this month when my brother got sick and admitted to the hospital due to severe pneumonia.  It was a very sad trial that we have encounter.  We are glad that God is there to give us strength and courage to never lost faith and continue moving with life.  The doctor told us that the brother has lots of fluids in his lungs and needs to be removed for his safety.  But my father refuses to do it after hearing some advises from his friends.  The doctor advises us to do flu shots for my brother.

The first flu shots vaccination of my brother will protect him for five years.  And five years has passed, the brother has to do the same vaccination again.  I have to accompany him along with his wife so that next vaccination his wife knows where to go and how to make brother comfortable and at ease because he is scared of needles.  Yes, he is scared of needles at the age of 41.haha!  But it is funnier because the SIL is scared of needles too.  How can she make my brother feel comfortable, less scared and ease.LOL!  Anyways, the second vaccination went well.  The next vaccination will be on December of 2017.
